A sun-warmed palette of wildflowers bloom along the roadside verges of Fife. Forget-me-nots, red campion, cornflowers, buttercups and dandelions gently unfolding in the long grasses. Spring blues, pinks, yellows and golds woven together with turquoise and deep greens. Stripes, zig-zags, diagonals and diamond shape patterns.
This wrap is designed to be worn with a soft drape that hangs gently from the shoulders. The design contains over 2400 threads blended together. The craft of the weaver includes patience to prepare the loom accurately with the cotton warp and the slow skill of passing each linen weft thread through the individual warp strands to create the pattern. It has taken a week to make this wrap.

Late summer in Highland Perthshire can bring hillsides of purple/pink heather crouched together with wind swept grasses. Purples, pinks, greens, rusty brown stems and feathery spikes of bell-shaped flowers cover the slopes.
In this wrap large blocks of these colours incorporate compact weave patterns. A wealth of small intricate plant life at your feet, yet part of something far bigger.
The pattern is achieved with 2400 interwoven threads of cotton and linen yarn. Each thread passed through hundreds of heddles and tied to the front of the loom or wound onto a bobbin and passed through the weave pattern by hand. It’s a slow process, with each wrap taking up to a week to make. Creating it brings me closer to the landscape and I hope it does for you too.
This wrap is designed to be worn with a soft drape that hangs gently from the shoulders.

Large yellow dandelion heads bloom across countryside verges and back gardens in summer. Changing into puffballs, the seeds are blown on the breeze, but some dandelions don’t have to wait for the wind. Steeped in folklore, some believe that wishes come true and seeds can carry your thoughts and dreams to loved ones when you blow them into the air. Rich yellows, deep greens and nature’s white are woven together to create a vibrant wrap with small intricate weave patterns in larger blocks of colour.
The pattern is achieved with over 2300 interwoven threads of cotton and linen yarn. Each thread passed through hundreds of heddles and tied to the front of the loom or wound onto a bobbin and passed through the weave pattern by hand. It is a slow, careful process and has taken a week to create.
The wrap is designed to be worn with a soft drape that hangs gently around the shoulders.

Suilven is a mountain in north west Scotland rising abruptly from a remote landscape of moorland, bogs and small lochans. It is a foreboding grey pillar made of layered sandstone some 500 million years old. Beneath it I found delicate wildflowers sheltering from the wind and rain. Wild Orchids, Bell Heather, Ragged Robin, Lousewort and white cotton grass. Abundant in shades of pale pinks to deeper rich reds elegantly interwoven into this wild landscape. This textile design incorporates small flowering weave patterns and complex shapes.
The work incorporates over 2300 threads. Handweaving is a slow, careful, methodical process of craftsmanship. My designs are born from the time it takes to study and observe nature and the landscape, through to the process of designing on computer, then threading hundreds of yarns onto the loom and weaving samples. It is an on-going conversation between me, the landscape and the weave design and has taken me a week to make.
The wrap is designed to be worn with a soft drape that hangs gently around the shoulders.
